Marc Jacobs, who is a native from New York, entered the world of design in the year 1981. In New York, he attended the Parsons School of Design and it served him well. In his senior year, Mr. Jacobs was showing off his latest creations which garnered him some of Parsons School of Designs greatest awards.
The defining moment in Marc's career was when his talent was recognized by a fashion executive. The foundation of their partnership was built on simple grounds. They both had a commitment to quality and a love for fashion which is evident in all of Marc Jacobs by Marc Jacobs products.
After about two years from this fairy-tale beginning, this famous designer went out and created his first clothing designer collection which bore his new label. When you see the MC label, you realize you have found a very special item indeed. His first products were a full-blown line of men's clothing in the category of ready-to-wear. He talks about his creations as something from his past - something his babysitter wore, or something that he himself would be prone to wear. Not soon after, (2000) he launched his infamous handbag assortment.
One year later, Jacobs and his partner, Robert Duffy, announced their new line called Marc by Marc Jacobs.This collection specializes in retro and trendy fashion pieces. This collection has expanded and now boasts of not only his gorgeous purses, but also jewelry, shoes, eyewear, watches and trendy hair accessories for any outfit on any occasion.
